week 1 (term 4)

It was our first meeting on the forth term. In this meeting, we learned and did a rehearsal on 7th and 9th chords. After that, I wrote five questions on with the answers on a piece of paper. The questions are asking about Bebop genre which was my genre for the recent group presentation. Then, my teacher gave us a new task. The task is to record our practice on the song which will be performed by a group. So, we were divided into four groups. My group consists of Alri, Fina, Ian, Kevin, and me. Since my group decided to sing “Sway” song, so I will practice on the song.

In this day, we reviewed jazz genres. The one that my group reviewed is about Bebop. The way how we reviewed the genre is by using the recent five questions and combines those questions until we have ten questions. Then, after we had wrote the questions, the other group asked us or tested us about our knowledge by asking the questions that we had made. Since my group could answer all questions correctly, I can say that my group is pretty well on understanding Bebop genre. After that, we sang “I Got Rhythm” song together. Beside that, the other new thing that happened during this day is Echo joined my group for the upcoming group performance. Since I am going to have theory test, I will study on the theory such as the chords.
