week 2 (term 4)

This day was our assessment day on singing “I got Rhythm” song. Unfortunately, in this assessment we did not do it with a partner. We had to do it by ourselves. Since my name is started with letter “A”, so I did it first. I was feeling nervous since it was my first time in singing by my self. This nervous feeling made me did a little mistake on the beginning part of the song. The mistake was wrong lyric. Fortunately, it just happened for a while. Even though I did a little mistake at the beginning, I still could finish the song attractively and not out of pitch. After the performances, my teacher told us about our score on the assessment. I don’t know how, but I got 9 for the assessment. Since I will have a group performance, I will practice on “Sway” song which will be played for our group performance.

In this meeting, we reviewed the jazz and chord materials for our written test. The review held for only five minutes. Actually, I did not prepare anything for this exam since I was not in a good health. After having our review, we did the assessment. Fortunately, I could answer most of the questions quite well since I remember some of the bebop knowledge from the questions making day. For the chords part, I felt quite confidence since I just had to remember the form of the chords. Hopefully I could get a good score for this written assessment. After that, we did our blog review. My teacher said that I have to add one more video. So, I will add the next practice video on my blog.
